What is the first session like?

At your first session Danny will ask you lots of questions about your current concerns, your background, work, relationships, family history, etc. By the end of the session Dany will propose a path forward to address your concerns and the goals on which you agree.. Future sessions will follow that path with adjustments made as needed.
What is the difference between clinical (licensed) counseling and the pastoral counseling that Grace offers?

Clinical (licensed) counseling is performed by counsellors who have completed training and licensing examinations by the state in which they practice. They are able to provide treatment for clinical (severe and ongoing) mental illness and, in some cases, prescribe medication. Danny is an unlicensed pastoral counselor. While he can provide a great deal of counseling help from his experience and education, he is limited to non-clinical care. For this reason Grace Fox Valley has partnered with Ezer Counseling and Coaching to where clients who have greater needs can be referred.
Do you take insurance?

We do not. We do, however, offer rates that are low relative to the industry market. If you have special financial circumstances, message Danny for consideration.
Do I have to be of a certain faith to receive counseling?

No. My counseling background is from my work as a pastor and my faith certainly informs my approach. At the same time, I am able to adapt to your own background and beliefs.
How do I get to the counseling office?

Our counseling office is located in the Old Post Office building in Neenah. 307 S Commercial Street, Neenah, WI 54956. Grace Fox Valley shares an office space with Ezer Counseling and Coaching, LLC. You can follow the signs from the main entrance to the office which is downstairs Suite 014.
How do I pay?

We take several forms of online payment (credit/debit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc.). Danny also uses Venmo and, of course, cash. Payment is expected at or before the session beginning.
Are web/zoom sessions available?

Yes. When you book your appointment you can choose the location to be web-based over Zoom. Message Danny with any questions about how that process works.
